Hi folks,

I will be fair: I dont like the official template of WBCE => http://wbce.org

But I dont want only to cry and annoy you. So I'v started to create a template with Bootstrap by myself, based on the primary color of the WBCE logo. The template is called Bootbaker, will be free and could be used as new official template of WBCE if the admins want it.

New changes are posted here. Actually the template is a few minutes old and work in progress. So please wait with to ciritical feedbacks

To be honest, I don't like what I built there once anymore neither and already thought about a redesign. So I'm very thankful for your fresh template and looking forward when it is ready to use.

Most of the content from the startpage of WBCE.org copied and inserted with a lot of styling improvements:

Next I will fix the responsive part, so the webdesign will look great on mobile devices too. After that I will recreate the features and download page if you folks are happy with my current work.

Very nice. A thing I would like to be changed: The Dosis font is not really good readable and does not look pretty in smaller font sizes. Maybe it would be better to use it only for headlines and f. ex. Open sans as default font?

Your wish is my order 

Buttons, Navigation and Headings have Dosis as font. But Open Sans is the default font.

I've changed the three pro statements boxes with primary color as background. It looks better now...

What do you mean? What shoud I change? Motivate me!

Thank you.
Some more little things:
- Do you have an idea where the language switcher can be placed and how it should look like (flags or DE / EN)?
- On smaller screens, the teaser boxes should get 100% width and be placed among each other
- CSS hyphens should be applied to the justified text parts to avoid ugly gaps between the words

Language switcher in the right corner of the header. Teaser boxes width fixed for xtra small devices and CSS hyphens for justified text implemented.

Looks a bit unfinished in Chrome... since the addition of the language navigation the navigation bar lost its stickyness (also in Firefox). The hyphens don't show up yet, for getting these to work the language has to be defined (see https://blog.kulturbanause.de/2012/02/s … -hyphens/)

Navigation sickyness is fixed, Teaser boxes have 100% height like the sibling boxes in chrome too (what a kind of hack with CSS) and hyphens correct implemented.

Any other wishes?

Not bad, but I wonder how this will be maintainable from the backend...?
I will probably make some changes to the information on the site too, for example announcements of WBCE 1.1 stable when it will be published or any other things. So don't lose to many time with minor details ;-)

WBCE template of Bootbaker (for WBCE.org) done:

The current WBCE template of Bootbaker has the WBCE Logo, is using WBCE Logo based colors and has some droplets with WBCE content like the main slider, newest forumposts and WBCE teaser boxes.

Use it if you like it... but I will optimize Bootbaker now to get a free template with some more rainbow-colors for the casual folks and users of WBCE Anybody interested here to use the template?

But... (as always, there are some buts)
- what you put in the directory "droplets", are no droplets yet - so the naming should be changed or "real" droplets should be produced of it
- the text on the hero images is very bad readable now, the background color is missing
Would you like to change it?

The droplets are only examples and I don't know how you've implemented your content. The free template will not have any droplets.

And sorry, I've switched back to the default WBCE Logo color and forgot to change the text-background. Please redownload the template now...

Na, I've stopped to create a free template for everybody. This template should be WBCE.org exclusive... but:

I've planned to create a new free template called Cloudy for WBCE only with a nice slide-in/out navigation like here:

As soon as I have to present something, I will start a new thread in this forum.

I've downloaded it, but currently have no time to rework the WBCE website. Will have a look at it later on. Thanks for your efforts.

Update:
Phew, that won't be easy due to the structure of the current template.
For sliders and teasers I will use the members module.
But all this will take some time. Please give me a few days to relaunch wbce.org.

I wrote a slider manager module for jungschibuchsi.ch. I will change the code for bootbaker and send it tomorrow... Currently online with phone. Sorry
