Conditioning the accordion panes opening (mouse cursor)

Hi

*** MY CONFIGURATION ***
PHP 7.2.24
WBCE CMS 1.4.2
TEMPLATE : Acourdesz

I am thinking about kind of setting that is conditioning the accordion panes navigation such this way :

  • Accordion panes opening when mouse cursor is moved from right to left or inversely

  • Accordion panes remaining closed when mouse cursor is move from up to down or inversely

Any coding that integrates such settings abilities might interest other “Acourdesz“ template users !
Has someone ever use, and can provide give such coding ?

Regards

You can find some examples of direction aware hover effects here.
Realized either with javascript or css or both.
Good luck,

@keepshango
All configurable options of the currently used slider script are listed here:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicinde … ordion.htm
(That is the script which is used in the template)

Re: Conditioning the accordion panes opening (mouse cursor)

Hi,

As an alternative, I wish to have the horizontal accordion panes opening on click event instead of mouse cursor movement detection.

May any further coding do the job ?
May this require to use the “code2“ module be needed ?

Re: Conditioning the accordion panes opening (mouse cursor)

keepshango, please keep in mind: You ask questions about a free third-party script, which is included in a free template from an author who is no longer active in the community for a free CMS which is entirely driven by volunteers. Thus, there is absolutely no reason for becoming impatient and demanding.

An on click mechanism for the slider is not scheduled in the currently used script, so the script would have to be heavily reworked, what - if even possible - probably would take a while. Since there is no general interest in this and it's not directly related to WBCE, there hardly will be any volunteer to do this.

What you can do:
1) contact the original author of the template and ask for commercial (paid)  development
or
2) Search (Google) a slider script by yourself which fits to your needs and try to integrate that in the template, if this does not work, ask again for support.
or
3) accept the slider as it is, afaics most horizontal accordions react on mouseover, not on click, so this is the behavour visitors would expect.
