[solved] News with Images module Date issue

I have a rather infuriating issue with this module. When I add a new post it automatically sets the date as current but when I save it the date is recognised as MM/DD/YYYY not DD/MM/YYYY as set in the default settings. I can change it using the calendar and save again and it will be correct. But if I then go back to edit and save, it goes back to MM/DD/YYYY unless a re-enter the date.

As I know this happens I can just re-enter the date each time, but this is somewhat annoying. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change?

Please check if the different date format is set at "settings"

Not sure if this was incorrect but i have now set it to be the correct format. Hopefully that will sort it out. I will try a post to check. Thanks
