Installation new instance by zip

Uploading a new installation via FTP can be quite time-consuming.

Has it ever been considered to upload a new installation as just one PHP file and one ZIP file? The PHP file could first extract the ZIP archive and then initiate the next step of the installation process.

I tested this, and it can save a considerable amount of time.

Yes, of course has this been considerated.
For the upcoming 1.7.0 version, there will be a really nice fetcher script.
For the current 1.6.x installations, we always offer a zip and an unzip file.

Installation can be performed using the ZIP files linked in the installation instructions on wbce.org (german) and by running the unzip script (upload the unzip along with the ZIP file and rename it back to *.php).
