WBCE CMS 1.6.11 verfügbar/available

WBCE CMS 1.6.11 ist ein Sicherheits- und Wartungsrelease. Allen Nutzern wird ein zeitnahes Update dringend empfohlen.

Hinweis zu 1.6.10: Version 1.6.10 war nur kurzzeitig als unvollständiges Update verfügbar. Version 1.6.11 enthält alle dafür vorgesehenen Änderungen. Wer bereits auf 1.6.10 aktualisiert hat, sollte trotzdem auf 1.6.11 updaten.

Sicherheit

Diese Version setzt die mit 1.6.9 begonnene Sicherheitsüberarbeitung fort. Gehärtet wurden unter anderem:

• Anmeldung, Registrierung und Passwort-Wiederherstellung (einschließlich CAPTCHA)

• Rechteprüfung bei Seiten und Abschnitten

• Ausgabe von Inhalten im Frontend und Backend

• Suche

Außerdem diese mitgelieferten Module:

• Miniform (0.23.7)

• News with Images (5.0.34)

• Output Filter Dashboard (1.6.7)

Änderungen

• WBCE Updater 1.1.1: Überarbeitet und deutlich robuster.

• Registrierung: Bei Neuinstallationen sind die Bestätigung per E-Mail (Double-Opt-In) und die Freischaltung durch einen Administrator jetzt Standard. Bestehende Einstellungen werden beim Update nicht mehr überschrieben, daher bei bestehenden Installationen bitte prüfen, was dort eingestellt ist.

• Droplets im Backend: Bei Neuinstallationen ist die Ausführung von Droplets im Backend standardmäßig deaktiviert.

• Droplets: Die mitgelieferten Beispiel-Droplets (u. a. SearchBox, RandomImage, ShowRandomWysiwyg) wurden aktualisiert und berücksichtigen nun Sichtbarkeit und Veröffentlichungszeitraum der Inhalte. Unveränderte Droplets werden beim Update automatisch ersetzt.

• MarkdownReader wurde aus dem Core entfernt.

Fehlerbehebungen

• Das Update entfernt auf Windows- und macOS-Servern nicht mehr versehentlich den PHPMailer-Ordner.

• Ein eigenes Favicon bleibt beim Update erhalten.

• Anzeigenamen müssen jetzt auch bei Änderung über das Frontend eindeutig sein.

• News with Images: Fehler im Update-Skript behoben.

• Versionsprüfung auf der Backend-Startseite korrigiert.

Kompatibilität

• PHP 8.5: Weitere Deprecation-Hinweise behoben. Unterstützt werden jetzt PHP 8.2 bis 8.5.

Update-Hinweise

1. Vor dem Update ein vollständiges Backup von Dateien und Datenbank anlegen.

2. Update wie gewohnt über den WBCE Updater oder manuell: Dateien hochladen, dann /install/update.php aufrufen.

3. Droplets im Backend: Die neue Voreinstellung gilt nur für Neuinstallationen. Wer Droplets im Backend nicht benötigt, kann sie auch bei bestehenden Installationen im Output Filter Dashboard abschalten.

4. Wer eigene Erweiterungen nutzt, die auf den MarkdownReader zugreifen, muss diese anpassen.

WBCE CMS 1.6.11 is a security and maintenance release. All users of the 1.6.x series are strongly advised to update soon.

Note on 1.6.10: Version 1.6.10 was only briefly available as an incomplete update. Version 1.6.11 contains all changes planned for it. If you have already updated to 1.6.10, please update to 1.6.11 anyway.

Security

This release continues the security review that started with 1.6.9. Among other things, it hardens:

• Login, registration and password recovery (including CAPTCHA)

• Permission checks for pages and sections

• Output of content in the frontend and backend

• Search

It also hardens these bundled modules:

• Droplets (2.4.6)

• Miniform (0.23.7)

• News with Images (5.0.34)

• Output Filter Dashboard (1.6.7)

• Account Settings (0.7.3)

• wbSeoTool (0.7.3)

• Error Logger (1.1.4.4)

• wbStats (0.2.5.13)

Changes

• WBCE Updater 1.1.1: Reworked and much more robust.

• Registration: On new installations, email confirmation (double opt-in) and approval by an administrator are now the default. The update no longer overwrites existing settings.

• Droplets in the backend: On new installations, droplets are no longer executed in the backend by default.

• Droplets: The bundled example droplets (including SearchBox, RandomImage and ShowRandomWysiwyg) have been updated and now respect the visibility and publication period of content. Unmodified droplets are replaced automatically during the update.

• MarkdownReader has been removed from the core.

Bug fixes

• On Windows and macOS servers, the update no longer accidentally removes the PHPMailer folder.

• A custom favicon is kept during the update.

• Display names must now be unique when changed in the frontend, too.

• News with Images: Fixed an error in the update script.

• Fixed the version check on the backend start page.

Compatibility

• PHP 8.5: Fixed further deprecation notices. PHP 8.2 to 8.5 are now supported.

Update notes

1. Make a full backup of your files and database before updating.

2. Update as usual with the WBCE Updater, or manually: upload the files, then open /install/update.php.

3. Display names: The update removes square brackets from display names. Names that would then be duplicates are replaced with the login name. The original values are saved in a backup table.

4. Droplets in the backend: The new default only applies to new installations. If you don't need droplets in the backend, you can also turn them off on existing installations in the Output Filter Dashboard.

5. If you use custom extensions that rely on the MarkdownReader, you need to adapt them.
