Under Construction

Hello,
I am impressed with this software but have a problem!! 
I have looked everywhere, and I cannot find where to disable the under-maintenance option.
The one that came with the software does not work or I am not doing something correctly.
Can someone please tell what I need to do to get this corrected?
If I have posted this in the wrong place, please accept my apology...

Hi,

usually the  "Under construction" notice disappears once the first page is created.
If this is not the case, check your preferences and the settings.
If Settings > Show Advanced options > Multilingual website is activated, but either the default language or the language of all pages differ from the language you have choosen in your profile, WBCE shows the maintenance page, because it does not find any page in your corresponding lanuage.

(For the record: Once pages are created, the maintenance mode can be switched on/off manually at Admin-Tools > Maintenance Mode Switcher)
