WBCE CMS 1.6.8 verfügbar / available

WBCE CMS 1.6.8 steht ab jetzt zur Verfügung. Bei dieser Version handelt es sich um ein wichtiges Sicherheits- und Wartungsrelease. Ein Update wird empfohlen.

Installation bzw. Update

Die Installation kann mittels der auf wbce.org verlinkten Zipdateien in der Installationsanleitung und Aufruf des Unzip-Scripts (letzteres zusammen mit dem Zip hochladen und zurück in *.php umbenennen) erfolgen.
Für das Update bietet sich das Admintool WBCE Updater an (ab 1.6.7 standardmäßig installiert, sonst aus dem AOR herunterladen)

Das Installations-/Update-Paket kann ebenfalls wie üblich auf GitHub heruntergeladen werden.

Was ist neu?

Sicherheitsupdate für NWI
Unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen hätten böswillige Backend-Nutzys eine XSS-Lücke ausnutzen können, das ist jetzt behoben.

elFinder aktualisiert
elFinder wurde auf Version 2.1.68 aktualisiert.

Aktualisierungen von Bibliotheken und Modulen
wbstats, WBCE-Updater, Twig und PHPMailer liegen in der jeweils aktuellen Version vor.

PHP 8.5-Kompatibilität
Es wurden ein paar Warnings und Deprecated-Meldungen unter PHP 8.5 behoben.

Systemvoraussetzungen

PHP 8.2. x - PHP 8.5.x.  Alles vor PHP 8.1.x wird nicht mehr unterstützt.
Der Core hat mit PHP 8.5 keine Probleme, bei Modulen bitte prüfen, ob es zu Fehlern kommt. Für einige Module stehen bereits Updates zur Verfügung. Ansonsten bitte eine niedrigere PHP-Version auswählen und/oder Probleme mit Modulen hier im Forum melden-

Auch wenn das ganze eher lästig ist, und die letzte Aktualisierung noch nicht lange her ist, wird empfohlen, ein Update durchzuführen. Wer das längere Zeit nicht getan hat und noch mit 1.5.x oder noch älter am Start ist, sollte vorher die Releasenotes zu 1.6.0 lesen.

WBCE CMS 1.6.8 is now available. This version is an important security and maintenance release. An update is recommended.

Installation/Update

Installation can be performed using the ZIP files linked in the installation instructions on wbce.org (german) and by running the unzip script (upload the unzip along with the ZIP file and rename it back to *.php).

For updates, the WBCE Updater admin tool is recommended (installed by default in versions 1.6.7 and later; otherwise, download it from the AOR).

The installation/update package can also be downloaded from GitHub as usual.

What's New?

Security Update for NWI
Under certain conditions, malicious backend users could have exploited an XSS vulnerability; this has now been fixed.

elFinder Updated
elFinder has been updated to version 2.1.68.

Updates to libraries and modules
wbstats, WBCE-Updater, Twig, and PHPMailer are available in their latest versions.

PHP 8.5 Compatibility
A few warnings and deprecated messages under PHP 8.5 have been fixed.

System Requirements
PHP 8.2.x - PHP 8.5.x. Anything prior to PHP 8.1.x is no longer supported.

The core has no issues with PHP 8.5. Please check your modules for errors. Updates are already available for some modules. Otherwise, please select a lower PHP version and/or report module problems here in the forum.

Even though this is rather inconvenient, and the last update wasn't that long ago, it is recommended to perform an update. Anyone who hasn't updated in a while and is still using version 1.5.x or older should read the release notes for 1.6.0 beforehand.
