User Profiles

Hello,

in order to give users access to "members only" information it is necessary that they register.
Is it possible to create a registration form which requests additional information in addition to name/e-mail/password ?
(user profile information)

Thanks in advance,,

Re: User Profiles

This is planned for the upcoming version of WBCE, which will be published probably around March/April 2019.

Re: User Profiles

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'd be happy to help spec. and test.

From experience with Joomla having user profiles is just the start. People then want special types of fields, import and export features and front-end user management.

If you do all this then you are into "killer app" territory !

Let me know if/how I can help (sorry I don't code).

Re: User Profiles

Hello Graham,

there will be a way to set up a way for registered users to add data to their existing profile. It will than be possible to create a form with different types of fields, image upload (e.g. profile image or avatar) etc.
With import and export do you mean the import and export of the frontend user list? If yes, so yeah, this is part of the concept.

It will be available as an add-on, not part of the WBCE package itself, but fully interacting with the system.

Have you worked with WBCE for a while?

Kind regards,
Christian
